The 40 Day – Day #10 – Acknowledgment

40dayiconText: Matthew 6; Revelation 4

Today concludes the first 10-day theme, “Expectation,” with the focus on recognizing the eternal majesty and power of our God: “for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.” The Apostle John, in Revelation 4, witnessed the Lord’s glory first-hand, but notice his progression: “I looked…I heard…I was in the spirit…” (vv. 1, 2). John’s “look” had moved from earth (speaking to the seven churches) to heaven; thus, his panorama changed. The voice he heard had remained consistent; it was still like the sound of the trumpet, and thus, signified the same authority in both heaven and earth. And in the spirit he experienced the end of expectation.

This is the day to look upwards, hear in the heavens, and spiritually stand in the King’s court. Join the heavenly host in acknowledging His majesty and be greatly encouraged by His presence.
